Terms of Service
These Terms of Service apply to the use of the Golden Delivery Services Ltd. website and, where applicable, to courier and delivery services arranged directly with Golden Delivery.
Effective Date: August 26, 2026
These Terms of Service apply to the use of the Golden Delivery Services Ltd. website and, where applicable, to courier and delivery services arranged directly with Golden Delivery.
Specific customer account agreements, written quotations, rate schedules or other written service agreements may contain additional terms. Where there is a conflict, the more specific written agreement will govern.
1. About Golden Delivery
Golden Delivery is a regional business-to-business courier and delivery service operating within selected communities in British Columbia, including portions of the Central Okanagan, North Okanagan and Shuswap.
Service availability depends on location, shipment type, vehicle capacity, scheduling and operational requirements.
Submitting an inquiry does not guarantee acceptance of a shipment or service request.
2. Business-to-Business Service
Golden Delivery primarily provides commercial delivery services.
Golden Delivery does not generally provide residential pickup services and may decline requests that fall outside its normal business model, service area, vehicle capabilities or operational schedule.
3. Service Requests
Customers are responsible for providing complete and accurate information regarding:
- Pickup location
- Delivery location
- Contact persons
- Telephone numbers
- Shipment contents
- Quantity
- Size
- Weight
- Handling requirements
- Timing requirements
- Any unusual characteristics or risks associated with the shipment
Golden Delivery may rely on the information supplied by the customer when determining whether it can accept and perform a delivery.
Additional charges may apply if information provided is incomplete or inaccurate, or if the shipment differs materially from what was originally described.
4. Acceptance of Shipments
Golden Delivery reserves the right to accept or refuse any shipment or service request.
A website form submission, voicemail, email, text message or other inquiry does not by itself constitute acceptance of a shipment.
A delivery is considered accepted only after Golden Delivery has confirmed that it will provide the requested service. Golden Delivery may accept some small skid loads where suitable forklift equipment is available at both the pickup and delivery locations. Skid loads are subject to prior confirmation of shipment size, weight, vehicle capacity and operational suitability.
5. Rates and Charges
Rates may vary based on factors including:
- Service area
- Distance
- Shipment type
- Weight or size
- Vehicle required
- Handling requirements
- Volume
- Customer account arrangements
- Fuel costs
- Special services
Any quotation is based on the information available at the time and may be adjusted where the actual shipment or service requirements differ.
Applicable taxes, fuel surcharges, waiting charges, special handling charges or other agreed charges may be added where appropriate.
Customer-specific account pricing or written agreements will take precedence over general information appearing on the website.
6. Packaging and Shipment Preparation
Customers are responsible for ensuring that goods are:
- Properly packaged
- Securely contained
- Suitable for normal transportation
- Clearly identified where necessary
- Prepared in a way that minimizes the risk of damage to the shipment, vehicle, driver or other property
Golden Delivery may refuse goods that appear inadequately packaged, unsafe or unsuitable for transport.
7. Dangerous Goods and Restricted Items
Customers must disclose any item requiring special handling, certification, regulatory compliance or transportation precautions before requesting service, including all dangerous goods.
Golden Delivery may accept some dangerous goods shipments, including certain goods within Classes 1 (explosives), 2 (gases) and 3 (flammable liquids), but only where Golden Delivery confirms in advance that the specific shipment can be accommodated and all applicable transportation requirements are met. The customer is responsible for accurately identifying and declaring dangerous goods and for providing any required classification, documentation, packaging, labels, placards or other information required by law. Golden Delivery may refuse any shipment that has not been properly disclosed, prepared or approved, including items such as:
- Dangerous or hazardous goods that have not been disclosed, approved or prepared in accordance with applicable requirements
- Illegal goods
- Firearms or ammunition
- Controlled substances
- Perishable items requiring specialized temperature control

This list is not exhaustive. Acceptance of any unusual, restricted or regulated shipment must be specifically confirmed by Golden Delivery in advance.
8. Pickup and Delivery Times
Golden Delivery makes reasonable efforts to complete accepted deliveries within the agreed or customary timeframe.
Unless specifically confirmed in writing, pickup or delivery times are estimates rather than guarantees.
Delays may occur because of circumstances including:
- Traffic
- Weather
- Road closures
- Vehicle breakdowns
- Accidents
- Customer delays
- Incorrect addresses
- Inaccessible locations
- Government restrictions
- Emergencies
- Events outside Golden Delivery’s reasonable control
Golden Delivery is not responsible for delays caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
9. Customer Availability
Customers are responsible for ensuring that appropriate personnel are available at pickup and delivery locations.
Additional waiting-time charges may apply where delays at pickup or delivery become excessive or are outside Golden Delivery’s reasonable control. Additional charges may also apply for repeat delivery attempts or changes requested after a driver has been dispatched.
10. Shipment Information and Recipient Authority
The customer is responsible for providing accurate pickup and delivery instructions.
Golden Delivery may reasonably rely on instructions provided by:
- The customer
- The shipper
- The receiver
- Employees or representatives appearing authorized to act on their behalf
Customers are responsible for ensuring that recipient information and delivery instructions are correct.
11. Loss, Damage or Delay
Golden Delivery will take reasonable care when handling accepted shipments, but customers acknowledge that transportation involves inherent risks.
Subject to applicable law and any separate written agreement, Golden Delivery’s liability for damage to a shipment or delay in service is limited to a maximum of $50 per shipment. Claims involving loss, shortage or other issues remain subject to applicable law and any specific written terms agreed between Golden Delivery and the customer.
12. Claims
Any claim relating to loss, damage, delay or service should be reported to Golden Delivery as soon as reasonably possible after discovery and should include sufficient information to allow Golden Delivery to investigate the matter. Prompt reporting helps Golden Delivery assess the circumstances and available information.
Golden Delivery may request:
- Invoice or proof of value

13. Payment
